What we need!

There are many items that the FSAAFM require to help get the beautiful warbird restored. You can help by donating the following items:

The Spitfire Restoration Project is also requesting donations such as other historic aircraft parts (regardless of aircraft type).. please don't hesitate to contact us so that we may gladly free up some space in your garage or attic!

English Wheel

We also require an English Wheel Shaping Machine - Donation or Long Term loan as used in aircraft and automotive restoration. Contact Keith at keith@spitfire-restoration.co.za.

 

Airframe Assembly Process Planner Needed!

Within the restoration process, the services of an airframe assembly process planner will be required. The Project Team hereby invites suitably qualified and experienced airframe assembly process planner to volunteer to help.

We need a person with suitable experience in process planning of an airframe dis-assembly and re-assembly. The person will liaise with the management, engineering staff and contractors. Retired persons, with any experience in Spitfire restoration are also invited to apply. No remuneration is envisaged in these early stages of the project.
